BRINGING YOUR KITTEN HOME

The big decision has been made! Here are some things to expect when you bring home your new kitten.

As far as feeding and caring, Our cats will come with a manual guide for proper nutrition and care.

  • Your kitten will be fully litter box trained. We suggest using the same litter and type of litter box that we use in our cattery when kitten first comes home. This helps to avoid any confusion or unwanted elimination behaviors. Also make sure your kitten is familiar with the locations of any litter boxes that will be available to them.

  • Your kitten will be fully weaned and eating top quality dry kitten and wet food. We will provide a small supply of your kitten’s current food. In the event you would like to switch your kitten to a different food, please do so gradually and after your kitten has had a chance to settle in to it’s new surroundings. This slow transition can help prevent unwanted tummy troubles!

  • Our kittens also will come with a small care package of goodies, to help them transition into their new home.  Care packages may include a bed or blanket, toys, treats, and other fun stuff!

  • All of our kittens are raised in our home, so they will be accustomed to being handled by humans and everyday activities that take place inside a family home. Have other pets? No problem!  Our kittens have been learning how to live around gentle dogs, other adult cats, and the occasional farm bottle baby.  Plan on vacuuming sometime around your new kitten, no problem! Our kittens have been raised around all aspects of normal and sometimes noisy, household chores.

  • Your kitten will be spayed or neutered before they come home. They will also have 2 rounds of age appropriate vaccinations, have had a full schedule of deworming and will be microchipped before they come home. We also offer a generous health guarantee that applies to every kitten that comes out of our program. Guarantee & Policy
